Y888 APK Permissions and Android Safety

An APK installed outside an official store bypasses some normal review controls. Permissions should match the feature being used; unrelated access is a reason to stop.

High-risk permissions

Treat SMS access, accessibility control, device administration, call logs and screen capture as high risk when they are unrelated to gameplay. These permissions can expose messages, codes or control of the device.

Check the signer

Android signing information helps show whether updates come from the same publisher. A changed certificate or unexplained package name can indicate that a file has been repackaged.

After installation

Turn off permission to install unknown apps, review battery and data activity, and remove permissions that are not needed. Keep the operating system and security components updated.
